About vcp therapy
Welcome to VCP therapy. I'm Vicki, founder of the practice. My mission is to provide kind, compassionate and effective care to individuals and groups in order to empower and help them live their healthiest, happiest lives.
I am so happy you’re here.
There are times in life when you can feel like you’re carrying much more than you know how to manage.
You might feel anxious, disconnected, or unsure why you’re struggling when, on the surface, everything seems fine. You may have been through experiences that were difficult or traumatic and find that, even years later, they continue to affect how you feel, think, or relate to other people.
Or perhaps you’re struggling in a relationship that matters deeply to you. You may find yourself repeating patterns you don’t understand, having the same arguments, feeling misunderstood, or wondering why it feels so difficult to feel close to someone you care about.
Therapy can give you a space to slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin to understand what might be keeping you stuck.
My Experience
I’m a qualified therapist with over thirteen years of experience working in mental health across both public and private settings in South Florida and London. I’ve worked with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, addiction, severe mental illness, and relationship difficulties.
I currently provide therapy remotely to clients in Florida and the UK.
I am particularly passionate about supporting people living with chronic and complex health conditions, including Endometriosis, Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS, previously called PCOS), Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), pelvic pain, and other hormonal conditions.
Living with a chronic condition can change every part of your life. Pain, exhaustion, hormonal changes, uncertainty, endless medical appointments, and being dismissed can take an emotional toll. It can affect your relationships, job, sense of identity, and the way you feel about your own body.
Sometimes the hardest part is having to continually explain an experience that other people simply cannot see or understand.
My own lived experience with Endometriosis and PMOS gives me a personal understanding of how complex these conditions can be and the ways they can affect your emotional wellbeing. I bring that understanding into my work alongside my professional experience, creating a space where you can talk openly about what you’re experiencing without feeling judged.
How I Work
My approach is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic modalities rather than expecting you to fit into one particular way of doing therapy. Sometimes therapy may involve understanding where certain patterns have come from. Sometimes it may be about learning how to cope with what is happening right now. And sometimes it may simply be about having a safe place to say the things you haven’t felt able to say anywhere else.
I believe that a trusting relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important components of therapy. Feeling understood and comfortable with the person you’re working with matters, and I don’t take that for granted.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation so that we can talk briefly about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re looking for. It’s also an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and decide whether I might be the right person to help you.
I can’t wait to meet you!
